• Austin Wiles, class of 2010, returned to his alma mater as The Citadel's Senior Associate Director of Athletic Equipment in June 2017.

    Wiles is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association and the American Football Coaches Association. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the equipment room including ordering, fittings, maintenance of equipment and apparel. He also coordinates travel logistics for all equipment including coaches and players to each football game.

    Wiles entered his role with the Bulldogs following one year as the assistant director of equipment services at Wake Forest. While in Winston-Salem, Wiles worked with the Demon Deacons' football and track and field/cross country programs in addition to assisting with equipment room orders and operations. Prior to his time at Wake Forest, he was the head equipment manager at Indiana State.

    Wiles, who was an assistant in The Citadel equipment room for two years after graduation, spent the summer of 2015 in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals. While in Arizona he worked with linebackers coach Bob Sanders and was responsible for all practice setup and breakdown on the defensive side of the ball. During his stint in Arizona he also assisted all special teams areas and was responsible for both home and away game day setup.

    Wiles graduated from The Citadel in 2014 with a degree in sport management. He was a member of the Bulldog football team, where he served as long snapper and holder.
