After graduating from Northwestern High School in 2007, Amber attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC for four years where she majored in biology. After graduating in 2011 from PC, Amber attended South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Charleston, SC and received both Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees in May of 2015. Upon graduation, Amber completed a post-graduate year one (PGY-1) residency at Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC and a PGY-2 residency specializing in infectious diseases at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Throughout the ten years of education after high school, there were many obstacles to overcome such as financial stresses, sleepless nights, and countless hours of work. However, all of the hard work and dedication was well worth it. Amber has come full circle and is now an assistant professor at Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy where she teaches students how to treat infectious diseases and also practices at an HIV, hepatitis C, and travel medicine clinic. Her work brings so much joy to her, her patients, and her students!
