I am an English teacher at NHS and the adviser of our yearbook, The Aeneid.  I believe that by allowing my students to take ownership of their education and their actions, I am helping them to build character, maturity, and a love of learning that will extend far beyond our classroom walls.

I came to Northwestern utilizing an alternative certification program. I graduated from Winthrop University in 2015 with a BS in Business Administration. After spending a few years in the corporate world, I learned that my true calling was the classroom. I am truly very grateful to be a Trojan!

I am a wife and mother of three, extremely active young men.  We spend many weekends playing and watching sports, traveling, and enjoying home life. I also enjoy reading, baking and decorating cakes, painting, and kayaking on the river!
