I am originally from Wilmington, NC. I met my husband  at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I was a business major but my passion was cooking. After moving to Charlotte, I started taking culinary arts classes at Central Piedmont Community College. I earned an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. Following graduation, I worked as a pastry chef in Charlotte and Austin, Texas. In 1998, I had my son, Austen and started a new career as a full time mom. We moved to Rock Hill in 2004. I became very involved in Austen's school and our church. I served on PTO as the hospitality coordinator for six years. I started working at our church as the Preschool Director. I held this position for four years until becoming a kindergarten assistant. This will be my 13th year and I have loved every minute! In my spare time, I like spending time with my family and I still enjoy cooking! An interesting fact about me is that I teach in the same classroom that my son Austen had his kindergarten year at Northside.
