Hello Pirate Artists and Families!  I am looking forward to more exploring, creating, and growing with your artists this year. I love to challenge and expand creativity through exploration of different artistic mediums and processes.  I have both my Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts in Teaching from Winthrop University.  I am also an active member of both SC Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association.  I was honored to receive the SCAEA Elementary Art Educator of the Year Award in 2023.  Before becoming an art teacher, I spent seven years as a commercial interior designer working in Charlotte, NC. I am passionate about teaching visual art and I feel so honored to work with your children!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband (Jake), two daughters (Ryleigh and Aubrey-fellow Pirates!), and two dogs (Lindee and Della).  I love to create art, read a good book, stay active through fitness, and cheer for the Georgia Bulldawgs!
