Hello Pirates! I'm Karen Roof and I am starting my 38th year of teaching elementary Physical Education. I have been at India Hook since the school opened in 2007. I feel so fortunate to have the best job in the world and looking forward to several more years of teaching. I received my undergraduate degree from Winthrop University and my graduate degree from The University of South Carolina. I also taught at Winthrop University for 22 years and still work closely with WU for interns and practicum students. When I'm not at school, I love to spend time with my family and try to get to Edisto Beach as often as possible. I love to play golf but rarely have time these days. Yard work and cooking are two of my stress relievers. It's going to be a great year in the world of PE at India Hook, come and see us anytime you'd like!  Last year I had an amazing year working with Andy Morton as another PE teacher at IHES.  Students received 90 minutes of PE each week which makes a huge difference in their activity level along with their personal health and well-being.  It’s going to be an awesome year!
