I have taught math for 36 years: 18 years at Rock Hill High School, 1 year at Strom Thurmond High School and 17 years at Northwestern High School.  I attended Rock Hill schools (Rosewood, Sullivan, Rawlinson Road, and Northwestern) and attended Winthrop University where I majored in Mathematics and minored in General Science.

I am married and have two children (graduates of Northwestern High), three grandchildren, and one dog.  My favorite things to do are lifting weights, kayaking, reading, and spending time with my family.

My goal as a math teacher is to motivate students to become lifelong learners.  I aspire to teach students that challenges are good – they make us think and grow as students in math and in life, and that ambition and effort are a huge part of achievement.
