My name is Chastity Griffin Baccus. I am the mother of Chelsie, Brian, and Christian. I am the grandmother of a handsome 2 year old, Chandler. I’m married to my love, Mr. Rhoderick Baccus. I am a 22 year veteran teacher. I’ve taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Coker College, a Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, a 2nd Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Salem International University. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education in P-20 Self Design. My dissertation is on Teachers Perceptions of the Struggles of American Americans Males in Grades 3-5. 

 

In my spare time, I serve as the local president of the York County Education Association. I am also a facilitator through NEA’s Leaders for Just Schools. I travel nationally facilitating and training educators on the various components of incorporating equity in our schools and our individual lives. 

My philosophy is that ALL students can learn if given an opportunity by creating a positive equitable learning environment.
