I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts and I moved to South Carolina when I went off to college. I attended Clinton Junior College, here in Rock Hill and received an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. After Clinton I attended South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development. I went back to Boston once I completed college, but after a year I moved back to South Carolina. I have lived in Orangeburg and Columbia, SC for several years (during this time I completed my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling) before making my move to Rock Hill where I began my teaching career.

I am currently going into my thirteenth year of teaching at Castle Heights Middle School where I teach Family and Consumer Sciences–the new version of Home Economics. When not teaching, I am spending time with my son and my family who has relocated to the south. My son is ten years old and the apple of my eye.
