Hello! My name is Sarah Anderson, and I am thrilled to be a new York Road Bulldog this school year!

 

My passion for music education started when I joined band in the 6^th grade—I played the oboe! ​It was a place that I felt safe and successful, and my goal is to provide the space for my students to feel the same way. I truly believe the music room can be a place where every student can thrive!

 

I graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2014 and a Master of Education in STEAM from Clemson University in 2020.  Previously, I taught music in Spartanburg, Lancaster, and York counties over the last ten years, ages ranging from pre-K through 6^th grade. It's been an incredible journey, and I can't wait to see what we can accomplish in music this school year!
