Hello! My name is Jamie Whiteaker and I am Mount Gallant's Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. I have taught third grade for 5 years.  I grew up in Newberry, SC and moved to Rock Hill to attend Winthrop University, where I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education. I currently live in Rock Hill with my husband and our one-and-a-half-year-old son, Levi. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing outside with my son, traveling, and frequenting local coffee shops. Being an educator is my passion. I love creating a classroom family culture with my students and watching them grow as people and learners. I am so excited for this school year and all the wonderful learning and growth that will take place!
