Sherri Baker
My name is Sherri Baker and I've dreamed of being a teacher since I was in elementary school, playing 'school' in my garage on hot summer days with my childhood friends. My dream became a reality when I completed my degree at Winthrop University. I received an Associates of Science degree from North Greenville University and a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Masters of Elementary Education degree from Winthrop University.
I was nominated as an Early Recruitment candidate through ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø upon graduation from my undergraduate program. While completing my internship in first grade, it led to my being offered a teaching position right here at Mount Gallant, where I have been teaching ever since. This is my 28th year...and counting! And yes, I STILL love it! I wake up everyday and get to do a job I'd dreamed of as a young girl!
Besides teaching--I love singing (just for fun), traveling, decorating, staging people's homes, helping others pursue their passions, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I live in Rock Hill with my husband Shane and my two children McKenna and Bryson (both of which spent all their elementary years at Mount Gallant too). 🙂
