MSgt Troy Talford
Master Sergeant Troy Talford is the Aerospace Science Instructor at Northwestern High School, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. MSgt Talford served for twenty-eight years as a Security Forces Specialist. He has worked in many positions while serving. Such as Flight Chief, NCOIC of Standardization and Evaluation, Base Control Area Monitor, and Wing and Squadron Security Manager. MSgt Talford has also deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Southern Watch and to Afghanistan twice, where he participated in Detainee transports and to support Operation Enduring Freedom. Master Sergeant joined Northwestern AFJROTC in February 2022.
MSgt Talford has an Associates of Science in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force, Bachelors in Business Administration with a Minor in Philosophy from Queens University of Charlotte, and Masters in Education, School Counseling from Liberty University. He enjoys coaching travel basketball, mentoring, and giving back to his community. He is also a 1985 graduate of Northwestern High School.
He is currently married to Carmela Talford, and they have two children, Troy Jr. (Deceased), and Brandon. He also has three wonderful granddaughters, Zuri, Ivy, and Xylah.
