I am a first year English teacher here at SPHS.  I received my bachelor’s degree in English literature from Clemson University in 2018 and my Master’s degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina in May of 2021.  I am also a certified personal trainer, triathlete, and avid Brazilian jiu jitsu practitioner.  If I’ve learned anything from my passion for difficult physical pursuits it’s that success is a process and failure is a necessity.  English language arts is so important to me because writing follows those same rules; rules which I believe are integral to success in any facet of life.
