My name is Kristi McGuirt and I am a second grade teacher at Ebinport.  This is my 31st  year of teaching in the Rock Hill School District, and my 23^th year of teaching at Ebinport. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Clemson University, and my Master’s Degree is in the Teaching of Reading from Winthrop University. I am thankful that we have such strong universities in South Carolina that helped to prepare me for a job that I thoroughly love and enjoy!

Ebinport Elementary holds a very dear and special place in my heart.  As a child, I attended Ebinport for grades one through six. I loved my elementary years of school, and for this very reason became an elementary school teacher! It is a privilege and a joy for me to be able to work at the very place that gave me the desire to be a teacher. Family is very important to me, and I love that I am able to work with both of my sisters here at Ebinport.  My older sister, Mrs. Cranford is the school nurse, and Mrs. Bruce, a first grade teacher, is my younger sister.  Another reason I love Ebinport is because we are truly a family school. Everyone takes care of one another here at Ebinport, and we look out for each other. If anyone has a need, Ebinport faculty, staff and families are there for one another. Ebinport faculty, families and students are the very best! This makes my heart happy to come to work each day! I am looking forward to an awesome year!
