School Resource Officers

  • School Resource Officers (SROs) are full-time, sworn, state-certified police officers assigned to work in the school setting.  In addition to the formal training required of all police officers, SROs receive specialized training to aid their interactions with students, staff, and administration in Rock Hill School District 3. The SRO’s primary duties are that of law enforcement, law-related educator, and law-related counselor.

  • SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICERS

    School Security Officers (SSOs) are full-time, private, armed security officers who are assigned to work in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø on elementary campuses. SSOs are employed by and contracted through Allied Universal Security and have received specialized training to work in the school setting. The SSO’s primary duties are to patrol the campus, provide a visible security presence, and work closely with school staff and administration to provide a safe and secure environment for all. Through a contract with Allied Universal Security, there are currently 19 SSOs assigned to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, as well as an on-site supervisor who oversees their operation and administration.

  • CAMPUS SECURITY ASSOCIATES

    Campus Security Associates (CSA’s) are full-time district employees, who are assigned to work in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø on the High School level. CSA’s have received specialized training to work in the school setting.  The CSA’s primary duties are to patrol the campus, provide a visible security presence, and work closely with students, school staff, and administration. Campus Security Associates are assigned to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to provide a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.
