Ms. Janelle Chubb
I grew up in Rock Hill and graduated from Northwestern High School. I have a Bachelor's of Arts from Furman University and a Master’s degree in early childhood curriculum and instruction from Winthrop University. This is my 21st year of teaching and my 18th year as a staff member at Northside Elementary School of the Arts. I previously taught first grade for three years at Ebenezer Avenue Elementary. I taught Kindergarten for 9 years at Northside before “graduating” back to first grade. My husband, David, and I have a 6 year old little girl named Taylor (born April 2016) and a 2 year old little boy named James Allen (born March 2020). My daughter is so excited to be in first grade at Northside this year! We also have a yorkie-poo named Duncan and a fish named Bingo. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family, reading, and traveling to the mountains. I enjoy being a teacher because I love to watch children get excited about school and learning. I also love getting to know my students and their families throughout the school year!
