The club sponsors are Ms. Hardy-Holmes-Wilson, Ms. Johnson, and Ms. McCoy, who are the school counselors.
This energetic group of “Pretty Brainy” young ladies, consisting of 6th through 8th graders, meets on Thursday mornings to explore Engineering, Math, and Science through the topics that interest them most. Members engage in hands-on activities to deepen their understanding of the mathematical and scientific principals that drive even the ‘girliest’ of activities. When there is a need, they also provide student leadership and school community service. Duke Energy representatives/employees come to do STEM activities with the club members, as well.
