Ms. Staci Saunders
My name is Staci Saunders and I have been teaching at Northside for 3 years but have been with ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø for 11 years. I have an additional 6 years of teaching experience with St. Lucie County Schools in Florida. I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I have a master’s degree in Reading and Literacy that I obtained from Walden University in 2018. I have experience teaching PreK, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade, but 5th grade is definitely my favorite grade to teach. I grew up in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where I met my amazing husband who I have been married to for 29 years. We have two children, a 24-year-old son and a 22-year-old daughter who is married to an amazing young man for 2 years. We have a new 5-month-old grandson who was born in July. We also have a Long-haired terrier named Peanut. One of my favorite quotes by Rita Pearson that influences my teaching is “Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be.”
