Hello! My name is Barbara Bryant and I have been teaching since 1999. Before coming to Rock Hill, I taught in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade this year!

I was born and raised in Jacksonville, N.C. with 11 sisters and 3 brothers. I am happily married to a wonderful man named Irvin. I have 3 sons, 1 daughter, and 10 grandchildren that I love with all my heart!

I graduated from Dixon High School in 1987. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1998 and my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2007 both from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. In 2009, I received my license to be a Principal from East Carolina University. In the future, I plan to enroll in a doctoral program.

When I am not in school, some of my favorite things to do are eat at Chili’s, go to Myrtle Beach, spend time with my loved ones, and, of course, eat turtle's chocolate! My hobbies include shopping, traveling, and doing crossword puzzles.

My goal is to encourage all students to reach his/her greatest potential and to instill in them an “I Can” attitude.
