Ms. Susan Stewart
Hello! My name is Susan Ashby and I have been teaching music in South Carolina public schools now for 20 years! I can honestly and truly say that I do what I love and I love what I do! I attended the University of South Carolina (Columbia) for my undergraduate degree in music education with a vocal performance minor. I received my Masters Degree in Education from Columbia College. I have taught students of all ages, from Preschool through High School, and I am also a church music director (Mount Holly UMC), so I continue to teach adults as well. I love to sing, play a variety of instruments, make crafts, and spend time with my 2 teenagers, Gavin (16), and Macey (14) who attend Lewisville High School. I am looking forward to meeting everyone at Oakdale and experiencing new adventures in the process!
