Ms. Jessica Segear
Hello! My name is Jessica Segear. I’m excited to be a part of Oakdale Elementary and teach 2nd grade! I went to Winthrop University for my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and got a master’s degree in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. I’m originally from the Clemson area so I’m a huge Clemson tiger fan! I taught 1st grade for 8 years before stepping away to stay home with my kids. My husband and I have 3 girls and a dog. We enjoy going to see our family across the state and exploring new, fun places! In my free time, I enjoy reading (for myself and with my kids), cooking and baking, and relaxing to watch TV.
My favorite part of being a teacher is building relationships with each and every student and seeing that imaginary light bulb light up in that “ah-ha” moment all children get!
