Shandra James is a native of Columbia, South Carolina.  She is a K-12 certified School Counselor in the state of South Carolina. Mrs. James educational background consist of the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work in May 2005, Master of Education in Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling in May of 2007 and Master of Education in Leadership & Administration in August 2022 from Winthrop University.   After graduation, she became employed as an Elementary School Counselor. In 2009, she became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. Mrs. James is a member of the American School Counseling Association, South Carolina School Counseling Association, South Carolina Alliance of Black School Educators, and she is also affiliated with other groups and organization in the field of education.  She is passionate about the growth and development of all students. Mrs. James believes that each student has the potential to succeed with the support of the school, community and more importantly, the parents. Every student is a star, and it is her honor to be a part of children’s lives as they experience many shining moments as they learn and grow.
