I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and then went to Clemson University for four amazing years (Go Tigers!!). I got my degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Literacy, Culture, and Diversity. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in third grade and feel that this is truly what I am meant to do! I am currently working towards a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University and am enjoying developing my understanding of the field of education even more. This will be my sixth year teaching at YRES! My favorite thing about teaching is to help my students to think outside the box and push themselves to be their best self, in the classroom and beyond. Reading is my favorite subject to teach because I love sharing my love for books with my students and helping them gain the skills and passion to be lifelong readers as well. Some of my hobbies are reading, watching movies, hiking, cooking, and traveling to new places.
