Teaching art is my passion.  I've known this from a young age and it still holds true over 20 years later. In the art room, you will find me introducing students to a variety of inspirations and materials, then watching in amazement as they create their own original artworks. Art is my favorite because it is a collision of personal, emotional, and  cultural. It allows us to celebrate differences, discover our talents, and make messes (lots and lots of messes, because art often means getting our hands dirty while we are hands-on learning!).  My students are my favorite artists.

Outside of the art room, I am most likely found in the outdoors (I LOVE nature), making stained glass pieces in my studio, and/or spending time with my family including my hubby, our 2 sons, and our 2 silly dogs.

I am a proud product of Rock Hill schools ("Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat"), Winthrop University (BA), and Columbia College (MA).
