Megan Lee

Hi! I am Mrs. Megan Lee. This will be my first year as a certified teacher, but I was a Teacher Assistant (TA) at the Day Treatment Center for 3.5 years and an Intern Certified teacher at Central Child Development Center for the second semester of the 2023-24 school year.  Before becoming a TA, I worked for 6 years as a substitute teacher, through Kelly Education, in various elementary schools in the Rock Hill School District. I hold a BA in Communications from Rowan University (1994), a Master of Arts in Special Education from Ashburn University (2017), and, in 2024, earned a Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education from Lander University.

I grew up in Manassas, VA but have lived in Rock Hill since 2014 with my husband, Chris, and my son, Korbin. The latter, born in 2009, has a beautiful, neuro-diverse brain that nurtured my initial interest in, and passion for, guiding children with special challenges to grow emotionally, socially, and academically. When I am not teaching, I enjoy cooking, playing Pokémon Go, watching my son draw or engaging with him in unique conversations, and hanging out with friends. My philosophy, for both teaching and parenting, is “It is up to the adult to meet the child where they learn, not up to the child to meet the adult where they teach!” I look forward to the upcoming year and an exciting future as a York Road Bulldog!
