We are honored to be a Winthrop University Partnership school. This is a collaboration of Winthrop University's faculty and students along with Independence's faculty and students. We had the opportunity to have a professor and about 25 students come into our school 10 times in the spring and fall to work in classrooms. The Winthrop students learn about child development, the students are mentored, and the teachers receive support from the Winthrop students. Last year, we also had three interns that graduated, two are now teachers in Rock Hill and one is entering graduate school! We are proud to be able to work with Winthrop students and staff.
