Steven Shipp
Hello Lesslie Family!
My name is Steven Shipp, and I am thrilled to be joining the community at Lesslie Elementary School as a Resource Teacher. I attended both the University of Florida and North Carolina A&T for my undergraduate degree and Francis Marion University for my masters. As a Charlotte native with a deep-rooted passion for education and coaching, I bring a wealth of experience to the Rock Hill area. Prior to joining LES, I spent several years teaching and coaching football in Fort Mill and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, as well as coaching college football at Johnson C. Smith University.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. I have been married for nearly 20 years to my wife Marie and am a proud father of four amazing sons—Andre, Steve Jr., Jordan, and AJ—and a loving daughter-in-law, Camesha. My family also includes three wonderful grandchildren, Andre Jr., Maliah, and Taylor, who keep me inspired every day.
I am eager to contribute to the success of our students and support their growth both academically and personally. I look forward to building strong relationships with students, parents, and fellow educators as we work together to create a nurturing and empowering environment for all here at LES.
