Dr. Tara Bacote
Dr. Tara Bacote has served as a district Reading Interventionist for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø since 2016. Her 25 years in education began in Ocala, FL, leading her to Dubose Middle School in Summerville, SC, and finally to Rock Hill. She spent the last 19 years in Rock Hill School District as a special education teacher at Rock Hill High and Dutchman Creek Middle School. She has served as a Mentor Teacher, Supervisor for student interns, and a peer evaluator.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in special education from South Carolina State University, a master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Capella University, and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb University. She holds Highly Qualified status in elementary education and is Gifted and Talented endorsed by Winthrop University. Dr. Bacote is passionate about student success and growth.
