A little bit about yourself--where are you from? What do you like to do?
I am originally from Tennessee (Go Vols!) and a graduate of York Comprehensive High School. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from USC Upstate and a Master's in learning and technology from Western Governors University. I love sports, especially volleyball and I love to read. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and son.
Favorite thing about teaching or working at Sullivan?
My favorite thing about teaching is the impact you can have in the lives of students. To teach them that there is always a better choice for their future if they only believe in themselves.
What is your "genius" or "Superpower"?
My genius is I am a rule follower. In my experience, guidelines and rules are intended to keep people safe and allow for the best possible outcomes. As a PE teacher, following safety guidelines and rules for play help ensure a positive, equitable experience. I strive to do this in all aspects of my life and help guide my students to follow rules, as well, to grow and mold them to become great humans in life.
