My name is Margaret Jane Hudson, and I am so looking forward to helping your child learn and grow this year. I have an Early Childhood degree from Winthrop University and I’m a National Board Certified teacher. I have been teaching for 26 years. I believe every child can learn in an atmosphere of love. I will take the time to learn about your child, listen to your child, and create a safe classroom so your child can take chances, flourish and grow.

I live in Lancaster with my husband and two children. My favorite things to do are to spend time with my family at the beach, watch movies, decorate, and I enjoy walking my Goldendoodle every evening.

In my 4-K classroom you can observe an environment that is welcoming, and that allows a child to play so that social and cognitive skills are developed and my students mature emotionally; their confidence grows so they can engage in new experiences. I will develop fun, engaging centers so that students can bridge real world learning into dramatic play opportunities. I will balance whole group, small group, and independent opportunities for students to practice new learning, and we will reflect regularly on our learning so that students not only learn from my direction/modeling but also from one another.

Hello. My name is Kathleen Wedge and I am the instructional assistant for our classroom.  I am married and have 1 daughter.  I graduated from Western Carolina University and have had the opportunity to work in several different fields from insurance, medical supply distribution, and medical equipment manufacturing. But I have found my love and dedication to teaching 4 year olds, the most rewarding. I love to help nurture creativity and self-confidence in my students.
